This is a very interesting book. Its a very sad story if you read it the first time. It's about a girl named Margaret Ann Brady. She is raised London, England. She had a nice family but one day, their father died and their mother died of disease. She now lives in St. Abernathy Orphanage for Girls. Her brother had left her there because he couldn't take care of her. He said when he had enough money and he was well good that they would move to America. As it turns out, his brother was leaving to America. He said that then he would buy a ticket for her to come to America. That's when she meets Mrs. Carstairs. You have to read the book to find out what happens. The Main Characters are The Brother, Margaret, The Nuns & Nora. This book is for the age 10 and up.
